South Africa, at the time of apartheid: Political activists Tim Jenkin and Stephen Lee are sentenced to twelve years in Pretoria Prison for distributing leaflets against the system. They have no mercy to expect from the racist government, so they plan their escape from the maximum security prison. But in order to succeed in what no one has ever done before, they must not make a single mistake during their escape.
