Heidi grows up with her grandfather on the alp, where she loves to spend her time with Geissenpeter. But then she comes to Frankfurt, where she is supposed to keep the paralyzed Klara company. While Klara blossoms through Heidi's cheerful nature, Heidi becomes homesick for the mountains.
